Nestled on the North Devon coastline at the estuary of the River Taw and River Torridge lies Orchard Lodges, a small complex of self-catering luxury holiday lodges.
Complete with hot tubs, private meadows, and modern living areas this is top-quality holiday in the perfect location.
One slight problem – The old website was outdated, unappealing and people had difficulty booking. Not great for a business that relies on converting website visitors into paying guests.
Peter Day, owner of Orchard Lodges, needed a fresh and clean logo to help create an instant positive impact on new customers that would help to support the modern and rural feel that the guests experience.
Using clean design and easy to read type, we developed a simple logo that works perfectly on print media, signage, and of course the new website.
Website Design & Development
The checklist was fairly straightforward for this project:
– Quick & easy to navigate
– Visually appealing & representative of the brand
– Mobile responsive
– Integration of a booking system
So we strived to deliver a modern and effective website, with a simple layout making use of the new photography and video content that Peter had comissioned.
By starting from scratch with a new build, we were able to ensure the new website was not only better designed, but also functioning considerably better. With smoother integration of the booking system and an optimised mobile experience we’ve created a new site that makes booking even easier than before.
Understanding the barriers that Peter’s old site was causing and using Google Analytics to study user behaviour resulted in a site that now offers a cleaner and more effective experience, and ultimately leads to even higher conversion rates.
Making the most of the new logo design and improved website, we aim to roll out the new brand identity across everything that the customers of Orchard Lodges engage with.
New branded stationery and business cards will make for a consistent and coherent corporate identity.

We looked at where we were losing potential customers, and clearly it was mostly on our mobile site. Obviously we needed this fixed, and the team at Two Coast Media offered us an affordable and appealing package.
